Tostan Canada hosted an intimate conversation with Sobel Ngom, CEO of Tostan, facilitated by Kelly Baxter, Tostan Canada’s Co-Chair. As part of its role in connecting Canadian supporters with Tostan’s work, the event provided an opportunity to engage directly with Tostan’s leadership and learn more about the organization’s community-led approach to sustainable change.
In this thoughtful discussion, Sobel shared his vision for the future of Tostan, his deep belief in the transformative power of education, and the critical role African youth will play in shaping the continent’s future. Drawing on both personal experience and Tostan’s decades of community-led work, he reflected on how education creates the conditions for people to identify their own priorities, navigate challenges collectively, and shape their own futures.
